A fun, hands-on, highly sensory process of preparing for First Communion.
A child’s preparation for First Communion is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It is when he or she will come to know Jesus in the breaking of the bread. If you’re the one in charge of making this happen, you’re probably always on the lookout for helpful new resources. Here’s why we think God’s Greatest Gift is worth your time reviewing.
What is the difference between the “Bronze” and the other GGG Editions?
The Bronze edition is a shorter, abridged version of the GGG Children’s Workbook. Only 72 pages long (compared to 136 pages for both the Gold and Silver Editions), it offers you, the catechist, a third choice when designing your particular preparation process. You will find that the topics covered in the Bronze edition, the type of artwork utilised and the spirit behind programme are identical to the other two editions. The main differences are: a) the contents of each chapter have been edited and, as a result, are shorter; b) the Bronze edition is smaller in height and width compared to the Gold edition; c) the price is less than the other editions. In a word, one could characterise the Bronze edition as “GGG Lite”. And, depending on your circumstances, this edition may be the best solution for your needs.
For Your Children
God’s Greatest Gift is a fun, hands-on, highly sensory process of preparing for First Communion. It is sensitive to the attention span, energy levels and varied interests of young, enquiring minds. It is designed to be an enjoyable and exciting experience for your children, one that will build a firm understanding of Jesus’ immeasurable love for them, one that will set them on a course in life marked by a true commitment to Gospel values.
For Their Families
God’s Greatest Gift utilises and focuses the special gifts and talents of family members in initiating their child or brother or sister into the sacrament. You will find that not only is the child preparing for First Communion awakened to the tremendous gift of Jesus in the Eucharist, but also the family will experience a renewed understanding and commitment, seeing Jesus once more themselves through the unclouded eyes of children.
For Your Catechists
God’s Greatest Gift is designed to truly empower and bring out the best in your leaders, even if they’re first-time volunteers. They will be able to guide the children easily, yet solidly, to a true understanding of the Eucharist through story, song, activity and discussion. It will be fun for them, too!
