When he moves to a new town, Binx the cat finds it hard to make friends. The other cats call him unlucky and say that black cats are cursed. But his new friend Gin proves that Binx is the luckiest cat around.

Binx the Jinx is a story about celebrating difference and the power of friendship. Change can be scary, especially for a little black cat, but with a friend by his side, he learns that he can overcome anything – even bullies!

Inspired by the classics but unmistakably modern, Binx the Jinx is a story of friendship and triumph presented in a fresh, new way that children will love. Written and illustrated by Michelle Hird, Binx the Jinx’s vibrant style complements its vintage storytelling perfectly. Its message of love and respect for others is a necessary lesson for children learning and growing in an ever-changing world.

A beautifully illustrated book, with an anti-bullying message. It explores different emotions and teaches children how to look at things from a different perspective. I recommend this book to all children and adults.

I was drawn to this book as me and my daughter LOVE cats!! The illustrations in this book are beautiful! So eye-catching, I can see how much time and effort has gone into this.
Not only is it gorgeous to look at, the story is beautiful! Very heart warming. I loved reading this to my little girl as I believe it sends a really good message about friendships, bullying and stereotyping, all very important subjects to touch on. It’s also written in a poetic style which is another plus.
I’ll be on the look out for more books by this author!

This wonderfully animated book has positive connotations of friendship, and imperative messages of overcoming social, racial, and emotional boundaries.

Binx the jinx is definitely worth a read for your children, with its bright colours engaging the little ones, as well as teaching them a long-lasting ideology of friendships and morals.
